Introduction

Teaching and learning that happen in a classroom does not take place simply by chance. Careful planning and effort go into creating a successful learning environment. This planning is not only related to the lessons and activities that will happen, but also to creating an environment which will help learners absorb material more easily. As a paraprofessional, you are a large part of that environment and the planning that goes into making it successful. In order to help you in your plans, this lesson will provide new ways to look at the classroom environment and give ideas on how to better adapt it to your students' needs.
